Platform, broker or label software?
Three different ways to manage shipping. The difference comes down to two things: who owns the courier contracts, and how far you follow the parcel after the label.
| Comparison | Shipping platform (Qapla') | Shipping broker | Label software |
|---|---|---|---|
| Courier contracts | Yours: rates and terms stay the ones you have | The broker's: you buy shipments at its rate | Yours |
| Labels | From 45+ couriers, even hundreds at once | From the couriers the broker resells | Yes, it is its main job |
| Tracking | 450+ couriers with the same statuses, shipments on hold and delays highlighted | Usually only for shipments bought from the broker | Usually limited or missing |
| Customer communication | Emails, tracking page, SMS and WhatsApp with your brand | Often with the broker's or courier's brand | Usually missing |
| Returns and pickup points | Returns portal, plus lockers and shops chosen at checkout | Depends on the broker | Usually missing |
| Cost control | Rate comparison on your contracts and invoice checks with Nelson | You pay the broker's rate | Usually missing |

Questions about the platform

Does Qapla' sell shipments or act as a broker?
No. We do not sell shipments and we are not a broker: you work with your own contracts. We do help you compare your couriers' rates and check their invoices.
Which shops and marketplaces does it connect to?
16 native platforms, including Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and PrestaShop, and 110+ marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Zalando. Everything else goes through the API.
