Mondokart Racing: from four courier portals to one, with 40% more productivity
Each courier had its own portal and procedure, and every change had to be repeated four times. Today the warehouse closes the parcel, scans a barcode and Qapla' picks the cheapest courier with the same delivery times.
- Platform
- PrestaShop, with partner Hostinato
- Volume
- 400-500 orders a day
- Markets
- Over 120 countries
Before Qapla'
- Four portals, four procedures Each courier had its own system: every change had to be repeated for all of them.
- Growth stalled More orders meant more manual work, not more efficiency.
- Margin under pressure With free shipping above a threshold, the cost of every shipment hits the margin directly.
Why they chose Qapla'
Mondokart first met Qapla' at Netcom and discovered it was already using it without knowing: the GLS Sell&Send service it used had been developed by Qapla'. After about two months of work on contracts, setup and testing, from July all couriers went through Qapla', with the same flow for Italy, Europe and non-EU destinations.
How they work today
Every order has a unique barcode: the operator closes the parcel, scans it and the data already comes from PrestaShop. Training takes less than a week, even for people with no logistics experience.
The rate comparison pits all couriers against each other on every shipment and, with the same delivery times, picks the cheapest. Out of about 7,000 orders a month, fewer than 20 need manual intervention.
Cross-checking the recorded weight against the invoiced weight revealed systematic errors in the couriers’ invoices. And the tracking emails, still in their basic version, have become the third channel for site sessions.
Before and after
Tracking emails reach 35,000 sends a month with a 57.8% open rate. Sessions that come to the site from them last 1:36 on average, against 1:47 from Google.
Their words
"Before, every courier had its own portal, its own procedure and its own timings. Today we open Qapla' and the process is the same for everyone. The team works with no uncertainty, and the numbers prove it."
